Marble Minions was Nerd Corps' first major mobile game, marking my transition from Junior Flash Programmer to Game Developer. The project coincided with the release of the 2nd generation iPad. With a small team and scope, the game was developed to support the latest season of League of Super Evil, a key factor in getting that season greenlit and demonstrating the value of our in-house interactive department.
The game is a reverse Hungry Hungry Hippos, where players fling their minions to score points. It supports up to 4 local players, with AI players available as substitutes. It features 5 base play modes and 15 additional modes available as DLC. Developed natively for iOS using the Cocos2D library, I quickly adapted to Objective-C, finding the syntax manageable once familiar with its conventions.
